This jacket is inspired by a French Bleu de Travail that I've had for a while and it is my favorite piece of clothing. It was worn hard before before I got it and I've lived in since day one. We thought it would be a great first piece for us to pay homage to the French work jacket, Japanese workwear, and U.S. workwear.

We worked with apparel works to modify the pattern slightly and had some small touches that reflected the colors we use in our shop logo.

We decided on the name
'Utility Jacket No. 1' because I have used my original for all things in life including warehouse work, bicycling, motorcycling, and casual wear.

The main body fabric is an 11oz. Dark Navy over Charcoal Bull Twill made Mt. Vernon Mills USA. This fabric is tough and will soften with wear.

The fabric will reveal a more charcoal look with wear and washes. Many early Blue de Travail/Coltin Work Jacket were made from dark grey or black fabrics prior to the advent of the classic blue dye we now associate with the classic French work jacket.

The sleeves are reinforced with a 4oz. Japanese 100% cotton Ripstop for durability and style.

There are two external front pockets, one full size internal chest pocket, and an internal accordion chest pocket for glasses.

We included polished brass snap buttons from top to bottom and on the sleeves cuffs.

The rounded collar can be left folded or popped up for comfort and protection from the elements.

This is made to fade and be worn hard and with style.
